Changing the Batteries in the Satellite Transponder
The unit will send an alert indicating the batteries are low.
To replace the batteries in the transponder, shut the unit off
using the power button on the side.
Unscrew the four (4) Phillips head screws to remove the
transponder from the base plate.
Gently unplug the communication cable.
Unscrew the six (6) flat-head screws on the battery
compartment cover.
Remove the cover and replace batteries with four (4) Lithium
AA batteries and insert them as shown on the battery
compartment.
Make sure the black gasket surrounding the battery
compartment lays flat in it's groove before replacing the
battery compartment cover.
Replace the cover, insert and tighten all six (6) flat-head
screws. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Tighten screws to 36 in-oz torque. (25 N-cm)
Plug the communication cable into the unit and then replace
it on the base plate using the four (4) Phillips head screws.
The recommended batteries are Energizer L91 Ultimate
Lithium AA batteries.
DO NOT USE ALKALINE BATTERIES.
