  • Page 17 SHB-940 ® Intel Q45 based PICMG1.3 Full Size CPU Card 2.3.1 Installing the CPU To install a CPU： 1：Locate the CPU socket on the CPU card. 2：Press the load lever with your thumb and push to left (A), until it is released from the retention tab (B).

Do not forget to connect the CPU fan connector! Hardware monitoring errors will occur if you fail to plug this connector.
