IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliances.
• This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. Do not use for industrial purposes
• Before using the appliance for the first time, make sure that the voltage found on the
rating label corresponds to the voltage in your home.
• To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or any other part of the unit
in water or any other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when it is used near children.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILD USE.
• Unplug the unit from the power supply when it is not in use and before cleaning the
unit.
• Do not touch the hot surface – This may cause injuries.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• Should repairs be needed, only use a qualified electrician. Bring appliance to a near
service centre for repair, examination or mechanical adjustment.
• Do not use attachments that are not supplied by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the coffee maker if it has a damaged cord or plug.
• Do not let the cord hang over the corner of the table or touch any hot surface
• Only start the appliance when the detachable plate, filter
holder and coffee tank and in their proper position.
• Only operate the appliance when there is water in the water tank
• In order to protect the product, this coffee machine is designed for over heating pro-
tection and automatic stop.
• In order to prevent it from being turned over, please use the coffee machine on a
plane surface.
• During first usage you may notice a slight smell, this is normal and will not affect your
health. This smell will disappear after a couple of uses.
• Do not rotate the steam tube or use the steam tube as a handle. Doing so may cause
damage to the unit, leakage or other hazards.
• Do not move the coffee machine while in use.
• Pyrex glass is designed only for the coffee machine, do not use it on other heating
devices.
• Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please
recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority or retailer for recycling
advice.
• In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced only by the manufacturer,
distributor or by an expert, to avoid risks.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person respon-
sible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
