Description

This Westward® Thermocouple Thermometer is handheld and compact used for temperature sensor
measurements using K type thermocouple inputs. It adapts with various probes (not included) to measure
temperature ratings for various applications applied. Instrument accuracy is +/- 1% of the reading.

Unpacking

After unpacking unit, inspect carefully for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Check for
loose, missing, or damaged parts. Shipping damage claim must be filed with carrier.

The actual range depends on the probe
specification. PROBES ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE UNIT.
ELECTRO-STATIC DISCHARGE. The
measurement range is for the thermometer only. Choose appropriate
probe for the application to avoid permanent damage. Target to be
measured should not exceed the temperature range of the probe.
To avoid electric shock and thermometer
damage, DO NOT MEASURE LIVE CIRCUITS, if voltage exceeds 24V
AC RMS or 60V DC with this instrument.
"Thermal Shock" may be caused by large or
abrupt ambient temperature changes. Allow 30 minutes for the unit
to stabilize before use when exposed to "Thermal Shock".

Operation

Before using this tool read directions thoroughly.
To switch thermometer on, press "ON/HOLD" and hold for approximately one second.
LCD displays: Temperate Reading, Battery Status, Hold
Display for current measured values
Minus sign (negative measured values)

Measuring Temperature

Select the appropriate K-Type socket probe then plug it into the unit input

Select the required unit of measurement °C/°F

°C/°F can be changed only when "HOLD" is shown

Position the tip of the thermocouple where you wish to measure the temperature and
press "ON/HOLD" key. Wait until the temperature has stabilized and then read the value from
the display. The current temperature is displayed for 4 minutes.
Note: The actual range depends on the probe spec.
Note: The last measured value will be stored and the thermometer will deactivate itself
Automatically after 15 seconds to save the battery power.
