  • Page 3 Congratulations on your purchase of the TEW007 powerchair. This powerchair incorporates the latest innovative designs. The TEW007 powerchair can be used in confined spaces both indoors and out. The powerchair can be easily folded without tools and will fit into the boot of vehicles for easy transport or stored neatly indoors.

  • Page 6 Putting your chair in and out of Freewheel mode. To put you chair in or out of freewheel mode you need to release or apply the clutch levers located on the 2 motors at the rear of the chair. When the lever is moved to the open position this deactivate the electro-magnetic braking system putting the chair into freewheel mode and allowing the wheelchair to be manually pushed by an attendant or third party.

    Joystick Functions 1. Power Button Press the button on the joystick to turn the power is on. Press the button again to turn the power off. 2. Joystick Knob Gently push the joystick in the direction you wish to travel. The harder you push the joystick the faster you will travel. Release the joystick, this will automatically return to the centre position and the electromagnetic brakes will be activated and the wheelchair will slow down and stop.

    Battery Storage and Charging Battery Storage 1. Please do not recharge the battery when it is fully charged. 2. It is not allowed to fully discharge the battery with proper discharge rate of 30%~50% and no higher than 80%. 3. If the battery is not frequently used, do not charge the battery repeatedly: in this situation it is advisable to charge the battery every two months.

    Driving Tips Getting Started Select an area with plenty of space. If possible, ensure you have an enabled bodied person accompany you whilst you get used to operating the chair. Ensure that when seated in the in the powerchair you are in a comfortable position and can easily and freely operate the controls.

    Cleaning and Routine Maintenance Cleaning The frame and seat of the powerchair should be cleaned using a damp cloth and gentle detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as this will damage the plastic components. Do not spray water (hose or pressure washer) onto the powerchair as this will cause damage to the electronics.

    Troubleshooting Circuit Breaker Your powerchair is fitted with the latest in electronic controls that are programmed to protect the electrical system from abnormal overloads. Fitted for extra protection is a circuit breaker, which is located under on the battery pack. Should there be a situation where your powerchair stops for no apparent reason please check that the circuit breaker has not tripped.

However, radio waves or electromagnetic fields may affect the operation of the powerchair.     Manufacturer’s Warranty This is to certify that your TEW007 Wheelchair, which is manufactured by Topmedi Company Ltd is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase. This warranty is not transferable. Should a defect or operating fault arise within this period the Dealer from where the product was originally purchased should be notified immediately.
