Installation
Determine the location where you would like to install the Series 100 Y | SHELF ™. Ensure that there are studs
in the wall where you would like to install the shelf.
Place the shelf at the desired location on the substrate and mark along the outer edges of the shelf. Mark an
additional horizontal line along the center of the top and bottom of the existing horizontal markings. Now,
make additional marks perpendicular to this line at locations of the center of the stud.
Drill a 5/16" diameter hole on these marks. Install the PlankScrew™ along the marks. Please note that the drill
size is slightly smaller than the diameter of the PlankScrew™ in order to for the PlankScrew™ to install in the
correct manner by creating it's pitch in the 2x4 stud. A light torque (use manual pressure, a machine is not
recommended) will be required to install the PlankScrew™. Tighten the PlankScrew™ till the line pre-marked
line on the PlankScrew™. Do not tighten the PlankScrew™ beyond this.
Ensure that the PlankScrew™ is installed with the 1/16" step facing the top.
Prepare the included Y | BOND™ by mixing the resin and hardener in equal parts.
Spread the prepared Y | BOND™ resin and hardener along the top face of the PlankScrew(s)™
Slide in the Series 100 Y | SHELF™ over the PlankScrew(s)™. Place a weight (approx. 7 lbs) over each
PlankScrew(s)™ and secure the Series 100 Y | SHELF™ to the wall with tape.
Remove weights and tape after a period of 8 hours. The Y | BOND™ cures fully after a period of 24 hours.
