Cleaning, maintaining, storing

Cleaning the device

1.
Using a damp cloth, wipe the device from time to time.
2.
Then rub it dry.

Cleaning the knife head

To avoid increased wear of the knife head and motor, the knife head must be
cleaned at regular intervals and oiled at appropriate locations.
In case of regular use, clean and oil the knife head thoroughly once daily:
1.
Switch off the device.
2.
Using the cleaning brush, remove hair carefully.
3.
Detach the knife head [15] at regular intervals, to remove hair residue from
the insides of the device.
4. Press against the knife head from the top and detach it from the device [A].
5.
Press the top and bottom knife slightly away from each other [B] and using
the cleaning brush [12] remove hair between the inserts.

Oiling the knife head

The knife head must be oiled daily at the toothing and the contact surface [C].
1.
Before oiling, remove hair residue using a cleaning brush.
2.
Use only supplied oil [13].
You can reorder oil from service (see reverse page of this manual).

Cleaning the contacts

Charging may be interrupted or impaired if the contacts [8] on the device, on
the charger or on the connector [3] of the plug-in power supply unit [1] are
soiled.
1.
Clean the contacts using a cloth moistened with alcohol or spirit.
2.
Dry the contacts.
Use only a charger [10] with dry and clean contacts.
