SUGGESTIONS FOR EASIER USE
•
Proper irrigating technique relies on the sense of touch. It is a good idea to
practice while watching yourself in the mirror without turning the Hydro
®
Floss
on. This will allow you to see the technique you will use. Choose a
starting point and move the tip along your gumline, pausing on the space
between the teeth. As you practice, watch your movements and remember
how it feels.
•
While irrigating, bend at the waist or tilt your head down over the sink.
Leave your mouth partially open and keep your elbow raised. This allows
the water to fall into the sink and will keep you and the surrounding surfaces
dry. Do not attempt to watch yourself in mirror; you will make a mess.
•
Do not twist the handle of the Hydro Floss
angle. Instead, twist the tip. The handle design allows the tip to be twisted
while using the unit. Twisting the handle will ultimately cause the water
hose to uncoil and/or kink.
•
Be sure to press the reservoir down firmly when returning it to its place on
the base. You may choose to use a cup or other container to fill the
reservoir without removing it from the base.
•
Always cover the reservoir with the reservoir lid when not using the Hydro
