How to operate compactor
1. Open drawer.
• 13501 and 13505 Model Series
use the STEP-ON drawer opener or the
drawer handle

2. Load trash.
» Load any trash, wet or dry, into the
compactor
» Spray cans and containers that contain
poisonous or explosive chemicals should not
be loaded in the compactor. (See page 11)
•Wrap really messy trash.
» Load cans and bottles on their sides in
center of compactor (as illustrated) so drawer
will not pop open If these containers are not
loaded properly, the trash will not be
compacted.
• Odor causing items such as raw meat, fish,
grapefruit rinds, personal hygiene items, and
diapers should not be loaded in the
compactor.
3. Close drawer COMPLETELY and turn key-
knob momentarily to START.
4. The ram will go down, then back up and shut
off automatically. Remember — the first few
items in each bag won't be crushed until later.
5. When bag is full, remove it and install new bag (See next page for complete instructions.
