General
Data Terminal is an adjustment tool for reading data and adjusting the operational settings of a faucet
or other device connected to a water system. Data Terminal can be used to check the state of sensor/
electronics for possible maintenance operations.
Data Terminal is a battery-operated device with a graphic liquid crystal display, keys to operate the user
interface, and connectors for connecting to water fittings. The display is equipped with backlight that can be
switched on and off. There are five keys: two function keys that either accept or cancel the current function
or setting, two arrow keys for browsing the menu structure, adjusting the value of a setting, and selecting
a function from a list, plus an on/off switch. If Data Terminal is not used for four minutes, it automatically
switches off.
Data Terminal is connected to faucets, urinals and showers with a USB cable, one end to the water fitting
and the other end to Data Terminal. Data Terminal automatically identifies the device, if the automatic
identification feature is turned on. Connection to a PC or bus transformer is done with an RS cable, one end
to the PC or bus transformer and the other end to Data Terminal. Data Terminal automatically identifies the
bus transformer, if the feature is turned on.
Data Terminal supports all Oras Electra models with a connection for Data Terminal.
The key tones can be switched on and off. Data Terminal also sounds an alarm when the battery voltage is
too low.
The software of Data Terminal can be updated with a PC. The PC software required for this purpose can be
downloaded from the Oras website. When new faucet models are launched, no parts of Data Terminal need
changing, updating the software is sufficient.
Data Terminal can operate seven language versions simultaneously. Languages can be updated with the PC
software. Both the language version and the PC software can be downloaded from the Oras website.
