Instructions
Supporting Images are provided overleaf.
Please Note: Please be careful not to scratch the front plate at any time on unpacking or installation.
1) Determine the position of the consumer unit that will be used to supply the Homecharge unit and resultant conduit and
cable lengths. The filter is to be mounted in a suitable enclosure near to the Homecharge unit.
2) Do not install the Homecharge unit near potential sources of water, flammable, explosive or combustible materials.
3) The recommended mounting height for the unit is 1.2 metres (1200mm) from the floor to the centre point of the unit.
4) Ensure the unit is within 0.5 to 3m of the Electric Vehicle (EV) inlet and positioned such that the tethered cable terminated
in the J1772 connector is not strained or cannot be damaged or stepped on.
5) The tethered cable and incoming mains conduit are mounted on the bottom of the unit (see pictures 1 and 2).
6) Offer the rear bracket of the unit up to the wall at the recommended height ensuring it is level.
7) Mark the wall through the 3 mounting points in the bracket (see picture 3).
8) Drill 3 x 10mm holes to a depth of 30mm at the marked locations.
9) Fix the bracket to the wall with the 3 x Rawlbolts supplied, using the sealing washers under the head of the Rawlbolt to
ensure the bracket is not damaged.
10) Offer the Homecharge unit up to the bracket, locating the lugs on the bracket into the Homecharge rear bracket and secure
with the domed head screw provided at the bottom of the Homecharge unit (see picture 4).
11) A 32A supply is required from the consumer unit via a 30mA RCD (see specification).
12) It is recommended that at least 4mm
2
cable is used. Live, neutral and earth connections are required.
