2. General Information Thermo-Shaker PCMT is an ideal instrument for intensive mixing of samples with heating or cooling. Heating (up to +100°C), cooling (up to 15°C below room temperature - RT) and mixing modes can be used both simultaneously and independently i.e. the unit is three products in one: 1) a shaker, 2) a thermostat and 3) a thermo-shaker. -

Automatic balancing system in this product produces light metal-like noise when moving the unit which is likely to be heard during unpacking. It is normal occurrence and does not indicate a fault. 4. Operation of PCMT Recommendations during operation • Please check that the tubes/microwell plates are thermo resistant. Don't heat the tubes/microwell plates over the melting point of the material they are made of (use thermo resistant polypropylene tubes). Remember that thin-walled tubes have a higher thermo conducting factor. - Page 9 25°C (The display will show OFF – T, °C – set point) Program execution After the PCMT has reached a stable temperature (when the set and current temperature readings become the same): Insert tubes into the block or place the microwell plate on the block and close the lid.

Hold down the TIME-RUN/STOP key (Fig. 3/5) for more than 8 sec. to activate calibration mode.
