File format for still images is JPEG.
File Format for Videos
File format for videos is MPEG-4.
Quick-Activating Camera
Using Smart Launch
Turning handset sideways and lifting it when Display is off
or when Lock Screen appears causes a circle to appear. Tap
circle to activate Camera.
Smart Launch responsiveness may be affected in the
following instances.
・Walking or moving in a vehicle (acceleration sensor is
sensitive to movement)
・Hand is covering Proximity/Light Sensor
・Lifting movement is only slight
・Handset is not held horizontally after being lifted
・Lifting handset soon after lowering it
Change Smart Launch setting as needed.
Other Ways to Quick-Activate Camera
Alternatively, to quick-activate Camera:
・Press Camera Key for one second or more
・ In Lock Screen, Flick
Camera Cautions
If Lens Becomes Dirty
Fingerprints/smudges on lens prevent capturing of clear
still images/videos. Wipe lens with a soft cloth beforehand.
Avoid Exposure to Direct Sunlight
Be careful not to expose lens to direct sunlight for long
periods. May discolor color filter and affect color of
images.
Flash/Photo Light Warning
Do not shine Flash/Photo Light close to eyes. Do not look
at Flash/Photo Light directly while in use. Do not shine
Mobile Light at other people's eyes. May affect eyesight,
etc.
Capturing Still Images
In Home Screen, (Camera)
Viewfinder appears.
・If confirmation appears, follow onscreen instructions.
・If there is no operation on Viewfinder, Camera operation
ends.
Swipe (Flick) Viewfinder to switch to "PHOTO" Viewfinder
・Swipe (Flick) up or down in a landscape viewfinder, or left
or right in a portrait viewfinder.
Aim Camera at subject Check Viewfinder, then
Shutter clicks and still image is saved.
