To leave the menu press and hold the “F” key again. Turbo Tuner Setup: The next step is to set the dip switches to configure the Turbo Tuner to operate with your screwdriver antenna configuration. Access to the dip switches is accomplished by removing the 4 Phillips head screws located at the bottom of the Turbo Tuner enclosure.

Power On: The Turbo Tuner is powered by the radio and is powered on and off with the radio’s power button. When the radio is first powered up, the Turbo Tuner after initializing will sound a Morse code ‘R’ to signify that it is ready.

Manually check the antenna for an SWR of less than 2:1 on all bands of operation, if this is the problem check, the antenna installation and grounding. Changing Dip switch 4 to the alternate position will help the Turbo Tuner find a match if the antenna can not be tuned to better than 2:1 SWR.
