If the top is at the left of the screen, the angle is in the second quadrant
(180°-30° - 150°) or in the third quadrant (180 + 30° = 210°). For
determination of the quadrant proceed as follows:
- Include a circuit as shown in Fig. 8 into the lead to the X amplifier with
closed switch.
- Open the switch and turn the potentiometer from minimum to maxi-
mum value. In doing so, the shape of the ellipse must clearly change.
