How to inspect and install a set screw on your MEC Provincial
222 Road Bike
Note: The following images show the fork without the wheel installed. You do not need to remove
your wheel to inspect for a set screw.
Inspect to see if the set screw is in place:
Set screw is in place (visible in
centre of the red circle).
If your bike looks like this, no further action
needs to be taken. Keep the enclosed set
screw as a spare.

The area to inspect is circled in red.
The set screw area is located on the
bottom of the fork tab, and is on the side
of the fork that doesn't have the disc
brake rotor.
Set screw is missing (empty
hole in centre of red circle).
Follow the next steps to install the set
screw.
