IMPÉRATIFS DE MISE A JOUR DES APPAREILS
DiMAGE A1, 7Hi, et 7i
Tous ces appareils nécessitent une mise à jour du firmware.
DiMAGE A2
Si l'onglet n° 5 du menu Réglages (A) n'est pas affiché, l'appareil doit être mis à jour.
Pour vérifier la version du firmware du DiMAGE A2, sélectionnez l'onglet 1 du menu
Réglages (B), et appuyez sur la touche (i+). La version s'affiche sous la désignation de
l'appareil (C). Le numéro de la version est suivi de "e" ou "u" pour indiquer la région de
production. Appuyez sur la touche centrale du contrôleur pour fermer l'écran.
Le firmware inclus dans le CD-ROM est la version 1.10. Si l'appareil possède cette version
ou une version ultérieure, ne mettez pas à jour le firmware.

Konica Minolta Photo Imaging USA Inc ("Konica Minolta") vous accorde un droit de licence pour utiliser une ou plusieurs copies de ce logi-
ciel exclusivement pour la mise à jour du logiciel d'origine d'un appareil, et dans la limite des restrictions indiquées. Vous pouvez copier le
logiciel autant de fois que nécessaire pour mettre à jour un ou plusieurs appareils vous appartenant à condition que ce logiciel soit utilisé
exclusivement avec un appareil Konica Minolta. Vous pouvez réaliser une copie de sauvegarde de ce logiciel. Vous n'êtes pas autorisé à
diffuser ce logiciel à des tiers, qu'ils soient ou non possesseurs d'un appareil Konica Minolta.

GARANTIE LIMITEE

d'utilisation et d'installation indiquées dans le mode d'emploi, ou bien si l'installation et l'utilisation de ce logiciel ont été effectuées après
l'expiration de la durée de garantie légale de l'appareil.

restrictions comme il est indiqué dans la partie (b)(3)(ii) de la clause 201.574-4000 sur les droits en matière de données techniques et de

MISE A JOUR DE L'APPAREIL
Pour mettre à jour l'appareil, une carte CompactFlash et un ordinateur sont nécessaires.
Préparation de la carte CompactFlash
Les fichiers nécessaires du CD-ROM de mise à jour doivent être copiés sur une carte CompactFlash (CF) dans
l'appareil. Avant la mise à jour de l'appareil, lisez la section sur le transfert de données du mode d'emploi de
l'appareil pour la connection de l'appareil à un ordinateur.
• Préparez une carte CompactFlash de 4 Mo ou plus en la formatant avec l'appareil.
• Connectez l'appareil avec sa carte CompactFlash à l'ordinateur. Si l'appareil n'est pas compatible avec le système
d'exploitation de l'ordinateur, un lecteur de carte CompactFlash connecté à l'ordinateur peut être utilisé.
1.Insérez le CD-ROM fourni dans le lecteur de l'ordinateur. Cliquez sur l'icône pour l'ouvrir.
2.Ouvrez le dossier "Updater" puis le dossier indiquant le modèle de l'appareil.
3.Le dossier "North America" contient la mise à jour pour les utilisateurs d'Amérique du Nord, et le dossier "All
Other Regions" contient la mise à jour pour les autres utilisateurs.
DiMAGE A2 : le fichier de mise à jour est le "km003.app."
DiMAGE A1 : le fichier de mise à jour est le "mlt16.app."
DiMAGE 7Hi/7i : les fichiers de mise à jour sont le "dsc.app" et le "ram.bin."
4.Copier le ou les fichier(s) sur la carte CompactFlash. Ils ne doivent pas être copiés dans un dossier comme le
dossier DCIM. Pour le utilisateurs de Windows XP : ne copiez pas les fichiers de mise à jour directement du CD-
ROM vers la carte CompactFlash car la mise à jour ne s'effectuera pas correctement. Copiez d'abord les fichiers
sur le disque dur ou le bureau de l'ordinateur puis copiez-les sur la carte CompactFlash.
5.Vérifiez, avec l'ordinateur, que les fichiers ont bien été copiés sur la carte CompactFlash.
6.Déconnectez l'appareil de l'ordinateur ou retirez la carte CompactFlash du lecteur.
Nous vous remercions d'avoir acheté ce produit. Le complément optique
grand-angle réduit la focale d'un coefficient de 0,8x tandis que le
complément optique téléobjectif augmente la focale d'un coefficient de
1,5x. Le firmware de l'appareil peut nécessiter une mise à jour pour
l'usage de ces produits.
POUR UN USAGE SÛR ET APPROPRIÉ
Nous vous conseillons de lire attentivement les avertissements et
précautions d'usage à prendre avant l'utilisation du produit.
• Rangez ce produit hors de portée des enfants. Prenez garde à ne pas
les blesser avec le produit.
• Ne regardez pas directement le soleil ou des sources lumineuses fortes
à travers le complément optique. Cela pourrait causer des troubles de
la vue ou une cécité.
• Ne pointez pas le complément optique directement vers le soleil. La
focalisation de la lumière sur une surface inflammable pourrait causer
un incendie. Mettez en place les bouchons lorsque vous n'utilisez pas
le complément optique.

SOFTWARE UPDATE LICENSE AGREEMENT
GRANT OF LICENSE
Konica Minolta Photo Imaging U.S.A., Inc. ("Konica Minolta") grants you a license to use one or more copies of the Software specifically for
the purpose of copying the Firmware into a Camera in order to update the Camera, subject to the license restrictions set forth below.
You may copy the Software as necessary to update one or more Cameras that you own, as long as the Software is used only with a Konica
Minolta camera product. You may also make one backup copy of the Software.
You may not distribute the Software to others, whether or not such others may own Cameras.
COPYRIGHT
The software is owned by Konica Minolta and its Licensors and protected by copyright laws and international treaties. You may not copy the
software other than as expressly provided in this license. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
TERM
This license is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by destroying the Software together with all copies in any form. It
will also terminate if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. You agree upon such termination to destroy the
Software together with all copies in any form.
LIMITED WARRANTY
If you use the Software during the original warranty period of your Camera, as evidenced by a copy of your purchase receipt for your
Camera, Konica Minolta will warrant that the Software performs substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials for the
remainder of the original warranty period of your Camera. If you load and use the Software after the original warranty period of your
Camera has expired, then you accept the Software "AS IS" without any express warranty.
Konica Minolta does not warrant that the functions contained in the Software will meet your requirements or that operation of the Software
will be interrupted or error free. You assume responsibility for operation of the Software to achieve your intended results, and for the installa-
tion, use, and results obtained from the Software.
Subject to any applicable legislation which prohibits the following exclusions, KONICA MINOLTA MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF
ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Some states and countries, including England and Australia, do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, or
have legislation that imposes certain statutory warranties that cannot be excluded, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This war-
ranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights.
LIMITATIONS OF REMEDIES
Subject to any applicable legislation which prohibits the following limitations, Konica Minolta's entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall
be the replacement of the Software not meeting Konica Minolta's "Limited Warranty", provided that you notify Konica Minolta or your dealer
within the original warranty period of your Camera and have a copy of your purchase receipt for your Camera. This remedy is not available
if failure of the Software is the result of misuse, abuse, or a failure to follow the operating instructions in the accompanying written mate-
rials, or if you load and use the Software after the original warranty period of your Camera has expired.
IN NO EVENT WILL KONICA MINOLTA OR ITS SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS OR DEALERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE
USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some states and coun-
tries, including England and Australia, do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, or have
legislation which restricts the limitation or exclusion of liability, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
GENERAL
If the Software was obtained in the United States, this Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York without regard to its
conflicts of laws rules. If obtained outside the United States, this Agreement is governed by the laws of the country in which it was obtained.
U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
The Software and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to
restrictions as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of The Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause 201.574-4000. Contractor /

EUROPEAN UNION PROVISIONS
If this Software is used within a country of the European Union, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as restricting any rights avai-
lable under the European Community Software Directive (91/250/EEC).
UPDATING THE CAMERA
To update the camera, a CompactFlash card and a personal computer are necessary.
Preparing the CompactFlash card
The required files from the update CD-ROM must be copied to a CompactFlash (CF) card in the camera. Before
updating the camera, read the data-transfer section of the camera instruction manual to connect the camera to a
computer.
• Prepare a 4 MB or larger CF card by formatting it with the camera.
• Using the USB cable, connect the camera with a CF card inside to your computer. If the camera is not compatible with the
computer system, a CF card drive connected to your computer can be used instead.
1.Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive on your computer. Click the icon to open it.
2.Open the folder named "Updater," and then the folder indicating the camera model.
3.The folder named "North America" contains the update for North American customers, and the "All Other
Regions" folder contains the update for customers in other parts of the world.
DiMAGE A2: the update file is named "km003.app."
DiMAGE A1: the update file is named "mlt16.app."
DiMAGE 7Hi/7i: the update files are named "dsc.app" and "ram.bin."
4.Copy the update file(s) onto the CF card. The file(s) should not be copied to a folder such as the DCIM folder.
For Windows XP users: do not copy the the update file(s) directly from the CD-ROM to the CF card or the update
will not be executed correctly. First copy the file(s) onto the computer's hard drive or desktop, and then copy them
onto the CF card.
5.Confirm that the the update file(s) have been copied to the CompactFlash card using the computer.
6.Disconnect the camera from the computer or remove the CF card from the drive.
Thank you for purchasing this product. The Wide-angle Converter reduces
the focal length of the camera lens by 0.8X, while the Telephoto Converter
increases the focal length by 1.5X. The camera firmware may need to be
updated to use this product.
FOR PROPER AND SAFE USE
Read and understand all warnings and cautions before using this product.
WARNING
• Store this product out of reach of children. Be careful when around
children, not to harm them with the product or parts.
• Do not look at the sun or strong light sources directly through the lens.
It may damage your eyesight or cause blindness.
• Do not point the product directly at the sun. If sunlight is focused on an
inflammable surface, a fire may result. Replace the lens cap when the
product is not in use.
CAMERAS REQUIRING UPDATE

All these cameras require the firmware update.
DiMAGE A2
If the section 5 tab of the setup menu (A) is not displayed, the camera must be updated.
To check the DiMAGE A2 firmware version, highlight section 1 of the setup menu (B), and
press the display information (i+) button. The version is displayed under the camera name
(C). The version number is followed by "e" or "u" to denote the product region. Press the
central button of the controller to close the screen.
The firmware included on the CD-ROM is version 1.10. If the camera has the same or later
version, do not update the firmware.
