ELIOS CHARGER DISCHARGER 1 – Introduction Introduction Please BE SURE to read these INSTRUCTIONS, WARNING and SAFETY NOTES before you use the charger for the first time. It can be dangerous to mishandle batteries and battery chargers, as there is always a risk of batteries catching fire and exploding. - Page 10 In case of malfunctions or other errors, the charger will automatically interrupt the running program and alarm the user. All the settings are pre-configured by Flyability to ensure maxi- mum safety and ease of use.
- Page 11 ELIOS CHARGER DISCHARGER 1 – Introduction Capacity Limit The charging capacity is calculated as the charging current multiplied by time. If the charging capacity exceeds the design capacity of the battery, it indicates a malfunction, therefore the process will be terminated automatically.

Only use this device with a genuine and certified Flyability Battery type Elios. Only use the provided connector to connect the battery to the charger and ensure correct polarity: red is positive and black is negative. -

The balance wire attached to the battery must be connected to the charger with the black wire aligned with the negative marking. Care must be taken to maintain correct polarity! 6 – DC Output DC Output The ELIOS CHARGER DISCHARGER is capable of supply DC power the DC Output, this function only works when the charger is working on AC mode, i.e. is powered via the AC power cord. The status LED turns green to indicate that the DC Output is ready to use. -

Select the desired page by using the INC/DEC button, press “START” to make to select a parameter, which will start flash- ing indicating that it can be modified. -

The charge process switches from a high current to a low maintenance rate (trickle charge) at this point. From this point on further high current charging would cause overheating and eventual terminal damage to the pack. -
