6. Operating instructions

6.1 Unpacking and inspecting the product

Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to
keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please
observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal,
contact your local waste management center.
Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be
incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.

6.2 Intended use

This product is suitable for heating water only. Any other use may result in damage to product or injuries.

6.3 Before first use

1.
Place the power base (8) on a dry, level and stable surface.
2.
Unwind the power cord from the cord storage in the power base (8) to the
desired length. Clamp the power cord in the recess provided for this purpose
in the power base (fig. 1).
3.
Connect the mains adapter (9) using an appropriate plug socket.
4.
Before first use, rinse your electric kettle in order to remove any potential
manufacturing residues.
Warning - Electrical shock hazard!
Do not submerge the electric kettle in water. Please ensure that the socket under the
base of the electric kettle remains dry.
5.
Fill the electric kettle's water container with cold water to the max limit 1.7L and boil water once.
Pour this water away. Repeat this procedure leaving the appliance to cool down between each cycle.
The appliance is now ready for operation.

6.4 Boiling water

1.
Always take the electric kettle from the power base (8) before filling the
container with water.
2.
Push the opening grip, open the lid (1) and fill the container with water (fig. 2).
3.
The water level must be between the upper limit (max 1.7L) and the lower
limit marking (Min 0.5L). The water level must not exceed the upper limit. If
you use too much water, boiling water may spit out of the device.
4.
Place the electric kettle on the power base (8). All indicators light up and go
into standby mode.
