    Audio mode RDS radio data and TP (Traffic Programme) RDS and radio text services Introduction The RDS (Radio Data System) offers additional information in FM such as the visualisation of the station name, automatic station tracking (Alternative Frequencies), text emitted by radio (Radio Text) and traffic reports (TP). Not all units have RDS, not all the FM stations offer this service and nor can the infrastructure of all the countries permit it.
