Quick Start Guide
1 Safety guidelines
Warning: Danger to Life!
Do not install this product as part of a safety-relevant, life or
health preserving facility.
CAUTION:: Damage to the device due to
electrical discharge!
Observe the ESD protection.

device!
Prevent liquid from getting inside the components. Do not
use solvents such as benzine or alcohol, or scouring agent
and scourers for cleaning..
2 Area of application
The KNX Push Button Module is designed for use in
building technology, for example as a light or shutter
control switch. The Push Button Module enables wireless
communication with KNX RF devices. It can be configured
using
the ETS 5 software tool. The Push Button Module
can be integrated in industry standard
light switch frames and bezels.
3 Starting up and using
Before use the Push Button Module should be configured
using the ETS 5 software tool. For the configuration, the
Push Button Module should be put in configuration mode
using the auxiliary device AFZM-0001. Mount the auxiliary
device on to the Push Button Module (note the labeling
"top"). This auxiliary device provides the Push Button
Module with power during the configuration process. After
mounting the auxiliary device the Push Button Module
reverts automatically to configuration mode. The red LED
illuminates. The configuration created using the ETS 5
software can be downloaded to the Push Button Module.
During download process the red LED flashes. After
removing the auxiliary device the Push Button Module
reverts back to operating mode.
For configuration using the ETS 5 software, a project and
catalog file are available. The various functions can be
configured using this project file. The project file is available
for download via the manufacturers' website. For
configuration of AFIM-1010 select the type „ZF Generic
Pushbutton".

guidelines EN 300-220 SRD, EN 301 489-1/-3 and EN
60950-1. They were made and tested for use in
Europe. Observe the local regulations before using in other
countries.
9 Disposal
Dispose of the used components at an official collection
point for electronic waste or at your local dealer.
