Congratulations on the purchase of your new Cemarline laser line generator. You have purchased a state-of-the-art, reliable,
quality laser with an industry-leading warranty.
Important Warranty and Service Information:
Cemar Electro Inc. guarantees all of its CL-800B series lasers with a complete 2 year parts and labour warranty. Should your
laser require service, simply return it pre-paid to our service department, no RMA required.
Do not attempt to repair the laser yourself under any circumstances as this will VOID THE WARRANTY. It is a sensitive
instrument and must be handled by a trained technician. The warranty will be void if; (a)any labels have been removed (b)the unit
has been physically damaged (c)the unit has been serviced or repaired by someone other than Cemar Electro Inc.. Removal of
the lens is strictly prohibited as the laser without the lens can be dangerous to the eyes.
For service and repair of your laser, send it in the original box, prepaid, to the nearest Cemar Electro office. Include your basic
contact information and the nature of the problem. No RMA# is required. Your laser will be returned to you promptly. Cemar
Electro repairs all makes and models of lasers. Just follow the instructions above and we will contact you with a free estimate.
Installation:
Remove bottom bracket assembly with hex driver (5/32" or 4mm); if not required, remove 3/4" pipe insert. Insert laser through
swivel ball by removing ball and opening slit with flat head screwdriver. Mount assembly on pipe and tighten screws; position laser
then tighten screws.
Operation and Maintenance:
Always operate your CL 800B series Cemarline laser with the power supply provided by Cemar Electro Inc. for safety and
warranty purposes. Using a different power supply will void the warranty.
Turn laser OFF when not in use. The laser is designed for use at temperatures ranging from -20° to 40°C (-4° to 104°F) however,
when operating at temperatures below -5°C (23°F), leave the laser ON continuously. Please note: prolonged operation at
extreme high temperatures can affect the performance of your laser.
To clean the lens of your laser, use only water, mild soap, and a soft cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents, as these will
damage the lens. The laser body is dust proof and water resistant. To clean the body, wipe with a dry cloth. If badly soiled, use
only mild soap and a damp cloth.
Laser Safety:
Most CL 800B series lasers are Class II, low power laser devices. They are rated Class II because of the way the line generating
optics diffuse the optical power of the beam along the length of the line.
Class II lasers do not normally present an eye hazard unless viewed directly for long periods of time. That said, one should
never stare directly into the beam of any operating laser.
Please consult the laser safety page on our website for complete safety info and data: www.cemarelectro.com/lasersafety.htm
