Introduction:
SWS 26 Series Lightbars are versatile and powerful warning devices suitable for a range of vehicle types and duties. There are numerous
options and lengths available. The lightbars can either be mounted permanently to the vehicle or mounted using an optional roof mounting
kit.
The 26 Series Lightbar features a durable aluminum chassis, polycarbonate base and domes and has a sleek, low profile, suitable for many
vehicle applications. The Igniter Series supports three different kinds of LED modules: Warning modules, Stop-Tail-Turn modules, and white
Alley/Takedown/Worklight modules.
Unpacking and Pre-Installation:
Carefully remove the lightbar and place it on a flat surface. Examine the unit for transit damage and locate all parts. If damage is found or
parts are missing, contact SWS. Do not use damaged or broken parts.
Ensure the lightbar voltage is compatible with the planned installation.
IMPORTANT!
Read all instructions before installing and using. Installer: This manual must be
delivered to the end user. This manual assumes installation by a suitably qualified Automotive
Technician.

WARNING! Failure to install or use this product according to manufacturer’s recommendations may result in property damage, serious bodily/personal injury, and/or death to you and those you are seeking to protect! Do not install and/or operate this safety product unless you have read and understand the safety information contained in this manual. - Page 3 Permanent Mounting Determine the location of the lightbar, and the best route for the wiring. (see Wiring Instructions section) Determine the position of the mounting feet and drill the 5/16”-11/32” diameter mounting holes accordingly, if needed. The spacing of the mounting feet from left to right is adjustable. It is suggested that the positioning of the feet be symmetrical and near the curved edges of the roof where the roof is strongest.
- Page 4 Gutter Mounting Important! Mounting brackets are specific to the vehicle model. Please make sure the brackets are suitable for the vehicle before installation. Remove mounting feet from bar. Position mounting kit foot bracket onto bar’s 5/16” bolts. Holding the bracket and foot together as shown, insert the cage nut in the bracket, facing towards center of lightbar. It will fit snugly underneath the mounting foot crossbar.

Wiring Instructions: Important! This unit is a safety device and it must be connected to its own separate, fused power point to assure its continued operation should any other electrical accessory fail. Do not wire in parallel with any other accessory. Notes: Larger wires and tight connections will provide longer service life for components. -

Options and Maintenance: Occasional cleaning of the domes will ensure optimum light output. Take care when cleaning domes – although tough, polycarbonate scratches easily. Clean the domes and base with soap and water or a lens polish using a soft cloth. Do not use solvents as they may damage the polycarbonate. - Page 7 Controller Operation The 26 series controller consists of 7 buttons with 6 LED indicators. When one of the 5 lower buttons is pressed, the corresponding indica- tor will illuminate (2 center ones for WL function) and then turn OFF if pressed again. Controller Mounting: To mount the controller with the supplied Velcro, remove the backing on one piece of the round material and adhere to a flat, clear surface. Take backing off other piece and adhere back of the controller to it. To mount the controller using the swivel mount, first mount the swivel unit to the dashboard. -

Instructions de Câblage: Important! Cette barre est un produit de sécurité et en tel doit être raccordée à son propre point de pouvoir pour assurer son opération continuée en cas que n’importe quel autre accessoire électrique fasse défaut. Options et Entretien : Le nettoyage occasionnel des dômes va assurer une sortie de lumière optimisée. Faite attention lorsque vous nettoyez les dômes – malgré que robuste, le polycarbonate s’érafle facilement. Nettoyez les dômes et base avec de l’eau et du savon ou un vernis de lentille avec un linge doux. - Page 16 Contrôleur (77520) Le contrôleur optionnel offre un contrôle commode et facile des 24 cycles d’éclairages incorporés et a des boutons à touche doux et des lumières indicatri- ces de DELs. Opération du Contrôleur Le contrôleur de la série 26 a 7 boutons et 6 indicateurs de DELs. Lorsqu’un des 5 boutons de bas est appuyé, l’indicateur correspondant s’allume (les 2 du milieu pour la fonction WL) et s’éteint si ré-appuyé.
