Using MagicSafe

9.1 Activating MagicSafe
To activate the alarm system manually, proceed as follows:
➤ Close the vehicle with your remote control.
✓ The alarm siren emits two brief confirmation signals.
✓ The vehicle emits optical signals according to the factory settings.

Note
If the vehicle does not have any optical signals, you can program
the alarm system so that the indicator emits an optical signal during
activation and deactivation.
Activating the alarm system so that the vehicle can remain occupied
You can set the alarm system so that the alarm system does not trigger an
alarm, e. g. to leave a pet in the vehicle.
Proceed as follows:
➤ Switch the ignition off.
➤ Deactivate the alarm system (see chapter "Deactivating MagicSafe" on
page 50).
➤ Switch on the ignition.
➤ Wait approximately one second, until the LED on the control device goes
out.
➤ Insert the electronic key in the key holder.
✓ The alarm siren emits two short signals and the LED illuminates for
approx. one second.
➤ Switch the ignition off.
