  • Page 2 There are two etches, one for the EasiChas for the loco and tender and one for the detailing kit for loco and tender. Numbers shown in square brackets [ ] in the instructions refer to the etch (L or T for the EasiChas etch and D for the detail etch) and part numbers, e.g., [L2] is part 2 on the EasiChas etch.

  • Page 10 7.2.11 Detach the EasiChas from the Bachmann chassis and attach three pieces of 0.6 mm wire across the mainframes using the holes provided, protruding an equal amount beyond the wheels on both sides (I used pieces 23 mm long to be trimmed back later).

  • Page 13 EasiChas frames. When we devised a method that could be used with the original 00 wheels, we realised that it could also be used with the EasiChas so we have included it as an alternative set of instructions at 8.3. The second version has the advantage that the brake gear can be clipped in and out, whereas the first version has to be assembled around the wheels.
  • Page 14 8.3.3 Solder 0.5 mm support wire across the EasiChas frame/ brake frame so the ends are flush with the wheel faces. Also tack, to one side only, a piece of 0.6 mm wire by just under 24 mm long (to clear the inside of the Bachmann frames) through the brake shaft supports at the front of the frames.
