Precaution When Using the Active Pen (Replacement of Tip)
When the tip of the active pen is worn as shown in the figure, replace the tip using a tip-remover provided as an
accessory.
NOTE
Before the tip is worn out and becomes less than about 1 mm, replace the tip with a new one.
(If the tip is too short, it might not be replaceable with the tip-remover and the active pen may malfunction.)
Tip Length
Inserting and Replacing Batteries
1.5 V batteries of an AAA size is provided with the product. Insert the batteries before using the pen as follows.
NOTE
If the battery level is low, the pen operation may be interrupted or the pen may not be recognized.
If the batteries have not been replaced for a long time, replace the batteries before using the pen.
CAUTION
If a battery of incorrect specifications or a rechargeable battery is used, the normal operation is not guaranteed.
If the pen is not used for a long period of time, store the pen after removing the batteries. Otherwise, the battery
liquid may leak and cause a failure.
If excessive force is applied when inserting the batteries, the pen may get damaged.
If the pen is stored or moved with the pen tip pressed, it may cause the batteries to discharge quickly.
If you apply excessive shock to the active pen or drop it, it may cause a failure.
