    Designated use Your Matador electrically driven wheelbarrow is only designed for the transport of material. Your Matador battery charger is designed for the charging of batteries of the type as supplied with this equipment only. Your Matador electrically driven wheelbarrow is designated for professional use.
  • Page 4: Take Care Of A Stable Loading

    Take care of a stable loading Ensure that the load on the wheelbarrow is not stacked too high. Do not exceed the maximum allowable load. Do not operate on slopes in excess of 20 degrees. Operate the equipment with the use of both hands. Use the right equipment The designated use of the equipment is described in this instruction booklet.

    Repairs This equipment complies with the current safety rules. Repairs shall exclusively be done by skilled personnel with the use of original spare parts. Additional safety precautions for battery and battery charger Batteries Never try to open a battery. Do not expose batteries to water. Do not store batteries at locations where the temperature can exceed 40°C.

    Battery charger Use the original battery charger only for charging the batteries as supplied or identical batteries. Batteries of a different specification can burst with consequential injury or material damage. Never attempt to charge batteries which are non-chargeable. Replace a defect flex immediately. Do not expose the battery charger to water.

    Installation and removal of the battery Release the cover of the battery container by pulling the bolting clips upwards at the same time (fig. B). Lift the cover (fig. C) and install the two batteries such that the contact points match the receiving slots in the battery container (fig.
  • Page 8: Charging The Battery

    Charging the battery Each battery shall be charged prior to operation of the equipment. This is also required for batteries that have been used for a prolonged period of time and have become weak. A new battery or a battery which has not been used for a long time will only deliver sufficient power after approximately 5 cycles of charging and complete rundown.

    Maintenance Your Matador equipment has been designed to operate over a prolonged period of time with minimum maintenance. Continued satisfactory use is dependent on correct maintenance and regular cleaning of the equipment.

    Environment Batteries Batteries can be charged numerous times. Worn batteries should be disposed off as per above. Do not allow the battery to run-down completely and re-charge in time. Lead batteries can be recycled. It is advised to contact a local disposal centre for small chemical waste.
