SAFETY WARNING We designed the Patriot ViewPoint to be used by wearing it while seated or standing still and motionless. To avoid accidental tripping, or falling, it is imperative to not move while wearing the headset as it encompasses your complete visual field. Do not even attempt to walk while wearing the Patriot ViewPoint headset. - Page 5 USING YOUR PATRIOT VIEWPOINT Before powering unit on, please take a moment to place the Patriot ViewPoint on your head, over your eyes, pull on the elastic straps and adjust them using the velcro tabs, making sure its comfortably snug on your face and evenly balanced on the top of your head and sides.
- Page 6 Upon booting up, warning screen You will arrive on a WARNING message (pictured below), it is imperative for your safety and safety of others that you use this device only when seated or standing still. Do not walk, move, or attempt to drive. While viewing this WARNING message, reach above the visor and locate the pupillary distance wheel, adjust it to obtain the optimal clearest view while looking at the screen image.
- Page 7 HEADSET CONTROLPAD Located on the right side of the Patriot ViewPoint are all the necessary controls. There is a CONTROLPAD that consists of a smooth surface with a dimple in the very center. When in LIVE MODE, you can swipe forward for increased zoom, swipe rearward for decreased zoom.
- Page 8 Color Modes You can press the COLORS button to change between the various contrasting color combinations as follows: original (color) high contrast (color) black on white, white on black, black on yellow, yellow on black, black on green, green on black, yellow on blue, blue on yellow, grayscale Note: You may reduce the number of color selection options from 11 to 4.

READ MODE To read printed text aloud, aim at the text and press the READ button to take a picture of the printed material causing unit to enter READ MODE. Unit begins to read aloud and presents the text onto the screen. - Page 12 USING YOUR PATRIOT VIEWPOINT To get past the WARNING screen, press the COLORS button to activate the LIVE MODE. You will notice the surroundings appear brighter, clearer, bigger, and closer, and better than ever! ZOOM On the right side there is a dimple at the center of the control pad to assist you in determining the center of the control pad.
