The iron should always be turned to OFF/MIN before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never pull the cord to disconnect from outlet instead, hold plug and pull to disconnect. -

9. Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid an electric shock hazard, do not disassemble the iron, take it to a Clikon service centre for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause an electric shock hazard when the iron is used. -

6. Maintenance Avoid placing the iron on a rough surface as it can damage the soleplate. Be careful not to scratch the non-stick ceramic oil coating of the sole plate. Take care when ironing near zippers, metal ornaments, or other things that could, scratch or abrade the coating.
