    CONQUEST REVERSIBLE PLATE COMPACTORS OPERATOR’S MANUAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLATE COMPACTORS SAFETY Plate compactors must only be operated by a person who: • is at least 18 years old; • is physically and mentally fit for this job; • may be expected to carry out the job he’s charged with carefully.

    CONQUEST REVERSIBLE PLATE COMPACTORS OPERATOR’S MANUAL FIRE In the event of a machine fire, use an AB-class powder extinguisher RESIDUAL RISK The vibrating plate is designed to absorb most of the vibrations. Depending on the soil conditions and exposure times, the vibrations felt by the hand-arm system could exceed the recommended levels.

    CONQUEST REVERSIBLE PLATE COMPACTORS OPERATOR’S MANUAL The vibrating plates must always be used with the accelerator lever in the "operating" position. To prevent centrifugal clutch failure, never use vibrating plates with the throttle lever in intermediate positions. The engine support and the base plate are connected through 4 anti-vibration mountings to reduce vibrations to the operator.
