Request to Send (RTS) signal from the ASCII/external modem port on the Central Processing Panel is set, data is transmitted to the 7RSP1 Radio Synthesizer Panel. The data is processed and converted to the protocol used by the radio receiver. Once the radio has been keyed, the data is then sent to the radio transmitter in the form of Frequency Shift Keying (FSK).
