The EZW1204 Z-Wave Leak Sensor requires 3 x AA batteries. Depending on controller and leak configuration, a standard set of alkaline
batteries should last 3+ years. We recommend lithium batteries for a longer battery life.
The EZW1204 can be wall mounted using the snap-in base with wired leak sensor or it can be placed on the floor in sensitive areas.

Floor by hot water tank
Below Dishwasher
Bathroom/s behind toilet (wall mount configuration)
Floor behind fridge with ice maker/water
Under kitchen sink (wall mount configuration)
Sump pump (wall mount configuration

Floor Mounting:

Select a clean area that is likely to pool water in the case of a leak. Place the EZW1204 (without wall mount base) on the floor or surface in this leak
sensitive area. The surface should be flat so that EZW1204 is resting with all three spring loaded pins touching the floor or flat surface. The wall
mount kit should be use for the installation in areas where the sensor might be disturbed or move by a pet or person.
