The DISTRACT-BALL® is a hand deployable device that uses high intensity lighting and

sound effects as a means of distraction. The lighting effect is provided by two high intensity

CREE LED light engines. These light engines are located inside two lensed openings that

are located 180 degrees opposite each other on the device. The distractionary sound effect

is created by a high power speaker residing inside a resonating cavity in the device. An

external Activate Button is provided to Arm the device, triggering the lighting and sound

effects. A micro power connector is used for re-charging the batteries via the supplied USB

charging adapter, or any convenient USB power supply device such as a laptop, or other

device.

Page 2 Following the Arming event, user feed back is supplied via 2 soft audible clicks for the device. This alerts the user that the DISTRACT-BALL® is Armed and ready to be deployed. If in the event that the device has been Armed and the user would like to abort further operation, simply depressing the Activate Button TWICE, will disable any further distractionary operations from occurring.
Page 3 AWAY AWAY the lighting sequence is initiated. f. After use and retrieval of the device, the DISTRACT-BALL® can be immediately re-deployed. During tests, the DISTRACT-BALL® operated for more than fifteen times on a single charge; however, we suggest to charge the device after each use.
