    ------------------------------------------------------------------ Section 2 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Battery Operation Before Use The battery supplied with the MultiPress Battery Tool and the spare battery are not charged. Charge the battery before initial operation. Only use the battery rapid charger supplied with the tool for charging. Once the battery is inserted into the rapid charger, the red indicator light flashes.
  • Page 7 • Use Wirsbo-recommended charging procedures. Incorrect use can lead to short circuits, overheating or battery fluid leakage. • To prolong the battery's life, avoid overcharging. Do not charge for more than two days. • Replace the battery if you notice a substantially reduced operating time after proper charging.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------ Section 3 ---------------------------------------------------------------- MultiPress Battery Tool Operation Use only the press heads supplied by Uponor Wirsbo for the MultiPress Battery Tool. The press heads are identified by their respective tubing size stamped into the head. Comply with the instructions for fitting installation in Section 4 of this manual.

    Operational Pre-check Before use, always perform a test connection with the press head installed and a test fitting in place. The jaws on the press head must close completely. Ensure the jaws at the tip of the press head are completely closed after making the test fitting. Before use, always check the press head, in particular the inside surface of both jaws, for damage or wear.

    Safety Guidelines To reduce the risk of electric shock, personal injury and fire, always follow basic safety precautions. Read and comply with all these guidelines before operating the MultiPress Battery Tool. Failure to follow the instructions and installation guidelines as defined in this manual can result in the failure of the MultiPress Battery Tool.

    The fittings are compatible only with Wirsbo MultiCor tubing. 4. Do not use other PEX tubing fittings on Wirsbo MultiCor tubing. PEX fittings are not compatible with Wirsbo MultiCor tubing. 5. Only use MultiCor and MultiPress fittings in radiant heating applications.

    Step 2: Install the MultiPress Fitting 1. Insert the tubing end into the MultiPress fitting until the tubing is visible through the witness holes on the stainless steel sleeve. Take care not to damage the o-rings. See Figure 4-3. Figure 4-3 2.

    Step 3: Installing MultiPress Sweat Fitting (when applicable) 1. If not already disassembled, remove the two o-rings from the fitting prior to sweating. 2. After the sweating, allow the fitting to cool down to room temperature. 3. Reinstall the o-rings in their proper position on the fitting. Position the large o-ring in the groove next to the shoulder of the fitting.
