The EZYiD Reader is a specially designed Ultra High Frequency medical treatments. (UHF) device, designed for use in conjunction with EZYiD RFID Tags, Cable Ties, Stickers and Universal Moulded Tags and also with EZYiD embedded hardware products. The Reader is designed to transfer unique serial number information from the tag to a computer, tablet or mobile phone device of the user’s choice.

5.3 Pairing the Reader to Your Device The EZYiD Reader is a “Plug ‘n’ Play” device. It is not necessary to download any software onto your computer, tablet or mobile phone, in order for the EZYiD Reader to function. Simply, turn on your EZYiD Reader, and follow the Bluetooth pairing instructions for your computer, tablet or mobile phone to pair the Reader to your personal device.

5.5 How to Hold the EZYiD Reader ® The EZYiD Reader should be held comfortably in one hand, ensuring that the antenna is not covered. Care should be taken not to press, hold or damage the antenna, as this may result in your Reader malfunctioning.

6 EZYiD Retrofittable Application ® Tags: Tags are low profile, with a depth of ~2mm and diameter of 6mm. Tags can be applied to assets using a commonly available Contact Adhesive or Two-part Epoxy Resin (not supplied). It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the adhesive used is suitable for use on the intended asset.

Retrofittable Application ® Cable Tie: Cable Ties are fitted with an EZYiD Tag, near the buckle-end of the tie, thus allowing the Cable Ties to be fitted in the usual manner with any excess length of the Cable Tie trimmed.

6 EZYiD Retrofittable Application ® 25mm Stickers: Stickers are 25mm x 25mm (1”x1”), with a low profile of <1mm and contain a special flat RFID tag. Stickers are supplied with a self-adhesive backing and can be applied to a range of non-metal assets.

6 EZYiD Retrofittable Application ® Universal Moulded Tags: Universal Moulded Tags are 19mm x 10mm x 5mm (3/4” x 25/64” x 13/64”) and can be fitted to assets by using a cable tie, nail, screw, pop-rivet, or glue. The Universal Moulded Tags can be attached to any asset.
