  • Page 4 EPDM because it helps to even out temperature variations and unevenness in the cable surface. Silicone helps to prevent air gaps, and therefore dangerous partial discharges are avoided. PFISTERER takes extensive advantage of advanced LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) desi- gns and special variations are made using RTV (Room Temperature Vulca- nizing silicone).

  • Page 26 Slide the heat-shrink tubing and bell flange over the cable. Clean the insulation. (Recommended cleaning agents: benzine, acetone.) Grease the insulation thinly and evenly with PFISTERER MV-special grease. Remove the protective wrapping from the conductive layer. Check the insulating part for cleanliness and completely grease the inside thinly and evenly with PFISTERER MV-special grease.
