It is imperat ive t hat all persons who are expect ed t o inst all, operat e or adjust t his wat er heat er read
t he inst ruct ions carefully so t hat t hey may underst and how t o do so.
Any quest ions regarding t he operat ion, maint enance, service or warrant y of t his wat er heat er should

Thermal Expansion Determine if a check valve exists in the inlet water line. It may have been inst alled in t he cold wat er line as a separat e back flow prevent er, or it may be part of a pressure reducing valve, wat er met er or wat er sof t ener.

    Operating the water heater. CAUTION: Hydrogen gas can be produced in a hot water system served by this water heater that has not been used for a long period of time (generally two weeks or more). HYDROGEN GAS IS EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE!! To dissipate such gas and to reduce risk of injury, it is recommended that the hot water faucet be opened for several minutes at the kitchen sink before using any electrical appliance connected to the hot water system.
