    3. BILGE PUMP AND WATER DRAINAGE The Fantail 217 is equipped with an automatic bilge pump. The pump is located in the bottom of the hull, just underneath the stowable panel. The pump can be activated manually, by pushing the bilge pump switch located on the control panels or is activated automatically by the accumula- tion of water and water pressure.

    GENERAL OVERVIEW The electrical harness of your Fantail 217 is built to American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) standards. It is design for maximum efficiency and security. Your electric boat is equipped with for or six batteries plugged in series. The outboard electric motor is a 48V, with 36 amps/hr maximum thrust.

    RPM/high torque to cut down on sh-spooking noise—so quiet they’ll never hear you coming. Make sure the motor of your Fantail 217 is designed for use in salt water. If the motor is not designed for use in salt water, we do not recommend putting your boat in the water.
  • Page 13 5. HOW TO OPERATE YOUR ELECTRIC BOAT MAINTENANCE The design of the E-Drive may require occasional cleaning to remove debris or any build-up that may occured between moving parts. After cleaning wipe down with a cloth dampened with an aqueous based silicone spray such as Armor All. The Propeller must be cleaned of weeds and other debris.

    BATTERY GAGE (E-Meter) The Fantail 217 is equipped with a battery power level indicator located on the top consol of the helm. The indicator is automatically activated when the ignition key is inserted in the starter. You will then be able to read the battery power level at any time while your boat is in use.

    The battery charger inlet is located on the dashboard. SMART CHARGER The integrated charger in the Fantail 217 adjusts the exit voltage to ensure that the batteries reach their gas formation threshold and receive a full charge. In high temperatures, the charger will protect the batteries from boiling as a result of overloading.

    5. HOW TO OPERATE YOUR ELECTRIC BOAT SHORE POWER The battery charging system operates automatically to charge and maintain the batteries. It is recommended to plug in the battery charger whenever the boat is dockside. After fully discharged (at 80% depth of discharge), the charger should be plugged in for at least 12 hours whenever possible. When in storage, it is recommentded to either leave the charger plugged in all the times, or for at least 8 hours monthly to maintain a full charge.

    6. ACCESSORIES CANOPY The canopy roof consists of a light-weight aluminum frame with a Sunbrella covering that is supported by four stainless steel posts. The roof has two zippered openings to make getting in and out of the boat easier. The zippers are functional from inside or outside the boat. With the roof in its lowered position, install the Sunbrella covering onto the aluminium frame using the covering’s Velcro attachments.

    6. ACCESSORIES STOWABLE TABLE The Fantail 217 comes equiped with a stowable table. The table post ts into the base plate inserted into oor, and the table itself ts into the table post making it easy to install or store away.

Moderate scrubbing with a medium bristle brush will help loosen soiling materials from the depressions of embossed surfaces.     For proper trailering, we strongly suggest that your use the special trailers made especially for CEBC’s boats. These trailers have been designed to trailer the Quiétude 156 and the Fantail 217 for short and long distances. CEBC can not cover under warranty damage to a product caused by improper trailering.

    8. TRAILERING CHECK LIST BEFORE DEPARTURE Wash your trailer after dipping in saltwater. Saltwater is incredibly corrosive. Rinsing o the trailer will greatly prolong your trailer’ s useful life. Check your tire pressure. Trailer tires are di erent from car tires so check the tire sidewall for correct tire pressure (often 50-65 psi - much higher than your tow vehicle).

    9. SPECIAL SALTWATER ELECTRIC OUTBOARD MOTOR The Fantail 217 comes originally equipped with a saltwater outboard electric motor. This motor is recommended for saltwater use. Always make sure the sacri cial anode is in good condition. Replace the anode if required by visual inspection.
