    RMU (REF. 5951) 1. I NTRODUCTION Product description The Remote Management Unit (RMU) enables any authenticated user to configure or monitor a DMH headend remotely. The RMU is a very smart and powerful solution which connects with a server hosted by us (uCloud) and enables you to connect to any of your installations with any PC or Internet-connected device.

    RMU (REF. 5951) Safety Instructions Read these instructions carefully before connecting the unit To prevent fire, short circuit or shock hazard: • Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. • Install the unit in a dry location without infiltration or condensation of water.

    RMU (REF. 5951) 2. I NSTALLATION OF THE HARDWARE Before mounting, install all DMH modules in the sub-rack. Place the power supply (ref. 5050) in the uppermost left slot of the rack and the RMU in the next slot. Connect LAN to the control port and both DC bridges to the RMU.

    RMU (REF. 5951) • If you don’t have an internet connection you will need to connect both your pc and the RMU to the same network. To connect to the RMU open your web browser and go to http://rmu:8888 or the URL http://<RMUIPAddress>:8888 (change <RMUIPAddress> to the IP of your RMU).
