REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTIONS
Provision is made for addition of remote starting. This
is accomplished on a 4 place terminal block situated
within the control box. Connect one or more remote
switches across remote terminal and B+ terminal as
shown in Figure 19. If the distance between the set
and remote station is less than 1000-feet, use No. 18
AWG wire, between 1000- and 2000-feet, use No.
16AWG wire.

CONTROL BOX CONNECTION
Reconnection lead W12 on TB21 is a jumper which
connects a single phase output from the generator to
the appropriate tap on the voltage reference
transformer. This lead is connected at one end to
terminal 63 on the terminal board. The otherend will
be connected to a terminal marked H3, H4 or H5
depending upon the voltage option required. Referto
Table 3 and Figure 22 for voltages available and
correct hookup.
WIRING CONNECTIONS
Most local regulations require that wiring connec-
tions be made by a licensed electrician and that the
installation be inspected and approved before opera-
tion. All connections, wire sizes, etc. must conform to
requirements of electrical codes in effect at the
installation site.
If the installation is for standby service, a double
throw transfer switch (iFigure 20) must always be
used. Connect this switch (either automatic or
manual) so that it is impossibleforcommercial power
ahd generator power to be connected to the load at
the same time. Instructions for connecting an
automatic transfer switch are included with such
equipment.
