GENERAL SAFETY RULES Read all instructions before installing or using this generator / welder! Ensure installation meets all applicable safety, and local and national electrical codes. Have installation performed by a qualified, licensed electrician and building contractor. Do not operate the generator or welder with protective covers, access covers, or terminal box covers removed.
The supporting floor should be level, and strong enough to safely hold the weight of the generator / welder. If the floor is not level, strong cross members should be placed under the full length of the generator steel frame at its low side. Install sound and weather proofing only when it is not raining or snowing to avoid trapping moisture within the generator.
Noise Precautions The generator can produce high noise levels. Prolonged exposure to noise levels above 85 dBA is hazardous to hearing. Always wear ear protection when operating or working around the generator when it is running. Electrical Precautions All connections and conduit from the generator to the load must only be installed by trained and licensed electricians, and in compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards, and other regulations where applicable.

Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool.

Properly ground the generator. The National Electrical Code requires that the generator frame be properly grounded to earth. This should be done by a licensed electrician. (Refer to the section on Grounding.) Only use 3-prong (120 VAC), or 4-prong (240 VAC), twist-lock grounded extension cords.

• Remove or make safe all combustible materials for a radius of 35 feet (10 meters) around the work area. Use a fire resistant material to cover or block all open doorways, windows, cracks, and other openings. • Enclose the work area with portable fire resistant screens. Protect combustible walls, ceilings, floors, etc., from sparks and heat with fire resistant covers.
Always keep the Welding Cables away from welding spot. Examine the Welding Cables for cuts, burns, or worn areas before each use. If any damaged areas are found, replace the Welding Cables immediately. Read and understand all instructions and safety precautions as outlined in the manufacturer’s manual for the material you will weld.

Pull the plug or hot cable away from the victim using an insulated material. Stand on dry insulating material and pull the victim clear of the conductor, preferably using insulated material such as dry wood or an insulated hook. Once the victim is free of the electric current, check for breathing. If not breathing, perform CPR and keep the victim warm.
Figure A Figure B Double Insulated Tools with Two Prong Plugs Tools marked “Double Insulated” do not require grounding. They have a special double insulation system which satisfies OSHA requirements and complies with the applicable standards of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., the Canadian Standard Association, and the National Electrical Code.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Before operating the generator/welder, the following items have to be installed: Handle Bars, Wheel kit, and Front Support Bracket. Handle Bar Installation Unpack and review all parts for defects or missing items. Find two Brackets (21) and four Bolts, Washers, and Nuts. See photo below showing completed assembly of Handle Bars.

Before mounting the Wheels (19), ensure that they are inflated to a pressure between 15 and 20 PSI. Pressures over 24 PSI could cause the tire to burst. Slide the Wheel over each Axle and lock in place by placing the Cotter Key into the end of the Axle.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Engine Setup and Generator Cable Connections Place the generator / welder outdoors where it will be used. Ground this product as required (see page 10). This should be on a flat surface able to support the weight of the unit, and away from flammable materials.
Welding Operation Warning: Before arc welding, read, understand, and follow all safety precautions and warnings, especially those listed on pages 7 through 9. On an arc welding work bench, secure the pieces of metal to be welded so they cannot move. Connect appropriately sized Torch and Ground Cables (not supplied) to the provided Dins Connections.

Stroke the area to be welded with the electrode to ignite the arc. Never tap the electrode into the welding surface to ignite the arc. This damages its external coating on the electrode which prevents oxygen in the air from coming into contact with the molten metal, causing it to oxidize.
INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING WARNING! Disconnect the wire to the spark plug of the engine, and allow the en- gine to cool completely, before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures. Any repairs must be done by a qualified electrician or mechanic. Before each use, inspect the general condition of the generator / welder.
TROUBLESHOOTING Symptom Possible Cause Remedy Generator No voltage output from 1. Circuit breakers tripped. 1. Reset unit circuit breakers. generator. 2. Extension cord defective. 2. Replace extension cord (to b e done only by a qualified electrician). 3. Function Switch not set to GEN. 3.
