Introduction
The ABI-ET2003 is a passive telephone distribution module suitable for
standard (PSTN) with or without ADSL.
This unit provides easy connection for Telephone, FAX and ADSL
modem/router. The internal ADSL filter eliminates the need for an
external ADSL filter.
The ABI-ET2003 does not have a privacy protection device
incorporated.

The DIN-Rail mountable ABI-ET2003 is equipped with 4 RJ45 jacks on
the front of the unit. (P1 ~ P4)
A switch on the front of the unit is used to configure the unit according
to the needs of your installation. Different configuration scenarios are
explained later in this manual.
On the top of the unit you'll find the connections for the 'incoming'
phone line.
The switch and the incoming phone line connections are only
accessible when the front of the 'Comm Center Cabinet' is removed.

The unit will probably be configured during installation. Make sure to
take note of the configuration (Connections to the rear ports and switch
setting). At the end of this manual, you will find a table where you can
write down the configuration.

Installation and power
No power needed.
Load ratio for this module = 0.
Maximum allowed load ratio (sum of the load ratios for all modules) for
power supply ABI-PS1001S00 = 4.
Click the module on the DIN-Rail as shown in the pictures below:

Installation scenarios
5.1
One analog (PSTN) phone line without ADSL
When you have one incoming telephone line (standard PSTN), you
can distribute the signal to 4 locations in parallel.
When a call arrives, all phones will ring at the same time. You can pick
up any of the four phones to answer the call.
If during a call a second phone is unhooked, this phone will join the
ongoing conversation.
No internal calls between the locations are possible (NO PABX
function).
For this configuration, the switch must be in the positions indicated in
the preceding table.

  • Page 3 - The telephone system works fine, but the ADSL modem connected to P4 is not working. Check if the ADSL line is activated by the provider. Check if the ABI-ET2003 unit is directly connected to the provider outlet (there should be no external ADSL filter installed).
