  • Page 4: Charge Your Battery

    CHARGE YOUR BATTERY Before using your Lightwriter please plug in the charger into the charging socket on the left side of the Lightwriter. You can use your Lightwriter while it is charging. You will need to leave your Lightwriter on charge for about 12 hours before the battery is fully charged.

    START TALKING When you turn on your Lightwriter you will see the Talk Screen. Your Lightwriter keyboard can be used much the same way as a regular keyboard for typing out words and phrases. Anything you type will appear on your screen in front of you.
  • Page 6 SET UP YOUR L IGHTWRITER With a few simple settings, your Lightwriter can be configured with your personal preferences. USE THE M ENUS To access the everyday settings in the User Menu, press Menu Tip - Find Advanced Menu options by pressing Shift-Menu.
  • Page 7 UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE It is important to keep your Lightwriter software up to date in order to keep it running smoothly and securely. Updates can contain important bug fixes, security upgrades and improved features. You can use an internet connection to update your software any time. Simply plug an ethernet cable into your Lightwriter and the other end into your router.
