- Page 3 Battery Replacement Instructions Removing Battery Packs > Step 1 Make sure the Segway HT is powered off and not plugged into AC. It is unsafe to perform this procedure while you are charging your Segway HT. Step 2 Orient the Segway HT so the bottom of the platform is exposed.
