    Important information Read this guide carefully. If there is anything you do not understand completely please contact your dealer. Do not lend your bicycle to anyone who is unfamiliar with it. Defects caused by inappropriate use are not be covered by warranty. The bicycle can only legally be used on the road by a person aged 1 5 years or older.

  • Page 16 Assembling after delivery If you bought your ebike by e-shop, it has been very probably delivered partly disassembled in a box. You need to make the bike complete first. If you need any help contact your dealer immediately. Tools: Allen keys 4 a 5 mm, open-end wrenches 1 0 a 1 5 mm. Unpack the carton and remove everything that is not fixed to the bike frame.
  • Page 17 tighten the anchor bolt again. Test brake operation. Mount front fender holder and front light to fork arch. Use Allen key 5 mm and open-end wrench 1 0 mm. Then mount fender wire holder to outer legs of fork. Put seat post with saddle into the seat tube, adjust height and fix with clamp. Never raise the seat post above the mark of MINIMUM INSERTION Install pedals on cranks using 1 5 mm wrench.

    Before your first ride There are 4 keys attached which are related only to your battery. Choose one of them which you will use and store the others in case of damage or loss. Learn how to release/insert the battery. Release the seat post and saddle. Unlock the battery bottom lock anticlockwise and release the key.
  • Page 19 IMPORTANT Everytime you insert battery into the frame, lock it Check the state of battery charge. The battery has been formated before sale and it is probably not completely charged so you will need to recharge it. Connect the charger to your battery first then plug the charger into the mains. Red lamp on the charger indicates the battery is charging, when the red light turns green the battery is fully charged.

    How to operate your bike AGOGS Tracer uses the large display which provides the rider with all the relevant information during each ride. Pedal assistance system is controlled by display too. Turn the battery on by ON/OFF switch on its top, then activate the electrical system by a long press on "M".
  • Page 21 Bicycle computer functions Press "M" to change the indicated information in sequence as below: Running Speed - Average Speed - Maximum Speed - Total distance - Trip Distance - Trip Time - Running Speed. See picture below. Speed is given in KPH.
  • Page 22 (ECO - CITY - TOUR - POWER - BOOST) assists the rider with a different motor power. Level ECO is the lowest assistance and level BOOST is the highest assistance. If you are not happy with assitance levels setting, ask AGOGS servise center to adjust it to your needs. It is for free.

  • Page 24 Riding your AGOGS Tracer Learn how to ride your bike before your first trip. It is better find a place with low traffic for these purposes. Set assistance level to ECO. Start to pedal. You will feel motor assistance in a moment. Test brake function and effectivity - as you press any of brake levers motor turns off automatically.
  • Page 25 Do not overload your bike when you first ride it (for example by going up long steep hills). Try to cover the first tens of kilometres in normal landscapes and recharge your battery when it is fully discharged. Never use only BOOST button without pedalling when going up the hill. You could damage the drive train of the bike Do not start riding using only the throttle.

    Display user settings You can clear trip distance and trip time and set the backlight brightness of your display. Press "M" button to start the display, then hold both "+" and "-" for 2 seconds to enter user settings menu. tC means trip clearance.

    After 4-digits of password entered, long press "M" to save changes and exit. Remember or write down the new PIN. In case of password loss you will have to take the bike to an AGOGS service center to recover your PIN.
  • Page 28 Error code information If there is something wrong with the electronic control system, an error code will appear automatically. Here is detailed information as to the error codes. Error code Problem details Failed controller indication. Solution: Turn the system off. Check the display connector, unplug it and plug in again and turn the system on.

Motor Hall signal abnormality. Solution: Turn the system off. Check the motor connector, unplug it and plug in again and then turn the system on.

    Battery care The battery is the most expensive and important part of your bike. This bike uses a lithium-polymer battery (Li-Pol) with nominal voltage of 36V and 1 0Ah capacity. It is a commonly used type of battery with a great balance of weight, capacity and life. The battery has been delivered as a part of your electric bicycle.

    Recharging the battery Lithium-ion bateries are very vulnerable to incorrect charging. Use regular Li-Ion or Li-Pol battery chargers only. It is essential to use charger with 42V output. Some models can be labeled as 36V. 36V is nominal voltage of battery and you can use this kind of charger with no problems.

    Safety recommendations Battery - do not short circuit positive and negative ports of the battery - do not dismantle the battery - do not store the battery in high temperature (heat, sunshine or close to a fire) - do not power supply another device with the battery - always charge the battery with licensed charger for lithium-ion batteries - do not place the battery in fluids such as water, acid, alkaline or salt water.

    Basic components Brakes Your bike is equipped with both front and rear V-type brakes. Both brakes must begin braking in the first half of the lever range. When you need more than the first half of the levers range to start braking you must adjust brake position. You can use the barrels for small adjustments or you will need to adjust lenght of cable by the anchor bolt.

    Tires Electric bicycle AGOGS Tracer uses 700x35C tires. These tires offer good comfort and low rolling resistance. The tires have reflective strips on both sides for your safety. To inflate the tires use only a normal hand pump. Do not use air compressors which are available at gas stations.
  • Page 37: Rear Derailleur

    Rear derailleur You can use 1 0 different gears when riding this bike. Change the gear only when pedalling forward but never under a big load. When there is free movement of derailleur cable or the cable is too short (it is not possible to shift gear 1 0) adjust it by the barrel.

    Saddle This bike was delivered with a suspension saddle. You can adjust the height of the saddle and also suspension preload for increased comfort. Release the seat post clamp first. Remove the whole post with saddle from the bike. On the bottom of the post you will find an Allen key adjuster.

    Front suspension fork You can adjust the preload of the suspension. The adjuster is located on the left hand side of the fork crown. Turn the adjuster clockwise to increase the suspension preload and anticlockwise to reduce it. There is a red lock-out lever the right hand side of the fork crown. Turn the lever forwards (anticlockwise) to lock the suspension.

    Adjustable stem Adjust the handlebar height according to your needs. Rider position should be leaned forward on this bike. To adjust height of handlebar loosen Allen bolt highlighted in red on picture with Allen key 5 mm. Then use Allen key 4 mm to loosen green highlighted bolts.
  • Page 41 Front and rear light AGOGS Tracer is equipped with front and rear light by Spanninga. Both lights have been approved for road use. Each light is power supplied by 2 pcs. of AA battery. Turn the front light on by rubber switch on its upside. Push the same switch again to turn it off.

    Maintenance of the bike Cleaning and lubrication It is essential to keep the bike clean. For cleaning use a wet house-flannel with detergent or special bike cleaner. Then dry it. Do not use a high-pressure water cleaner. Regulary lubricate chain, derailleur, brake cable and derailleur cable with light oil.

    Important information Operating range The operating range of your electric bike depends on rider weight and carrier load, road profile, weather conditions, condition of the bike, riding style and the rider's physical condition. Regular braking and accelarating, climbing steep hills, low pressure tires, dragging brakes or a heavy carrier load, all limits the operating range of the bike.

    Riding in wet conditions Your electric bike is rain and splash proof and can be used in all weathers. Do not ride the bike through floods, deep pools and mud. Do not park your bike where it is not protected against heavy rain, snow and direct sunlight (UV radiation can harm paint and colors).

    Returning the battery / Recycling Please do not put the battery pack into household waste. Containers for collecting batteries can be found wherever batteries are sold or at local collection points. This ensures batteries are disposed of correctly. You can also return the battery to your retailer.

    Rear wheel tube replacement Tools: Wrench key size 1 8 mm, Allen key size 5 mm, Tire levers Rear wheel demount 1 . Turn the battery off. 2. Shift gear 1 0. 3. Release plastic clamps which fix the motor wire with chain stay. Be careful not to damage wire Unplug the motor connector.

    Tube replacement 1 . Release the valve cap and deflate the tube completely by pressing down on the inner part of the valve. 2. Take a couple of tire levers (you can purchase these at your local bike store). Ease one lever in under the wheel rim and lever out the edge of the tire (taking great care not to puncture the inner tube) and pry it up over the wheel rim.
