The Set Up & Run wizard is a sequence of software screens and instructions for starting the OPTIGEN assay. Patient sera should be
prepared before launching the wizard. For more information on preparing samples before placing them into the AP3600 instrument, refer
to Chapter 3, Sample Preparation.

Prepare AP3600 Instrument

Perform the following steps to prepare the AP3600 instrument.
1. Confirm the transfer tip rack is filled and placed in the rack holder. Refer to Figure 5-1.
Note: The assay will not start if the rack is not fully populated.

2. Fill the sample cup carousel with new cups. Refer to Figure 5-1.
3. Fill the DI water and wash buffer bottles. Confirm there is sufficient Wash Buffer and DI water available to run the number of tests
planned.
4. Load the reagent bottles (Antibody, Photoreagent I, and Photoreagent II) on the right side of the AP3600 instrument at this time.
5. Empty the waste container. There are both high and low sensors present for the waste container to ensure that the container does not
overflow during testing. Refer to Figure 5-2.
