I°) PRE-REQUIREMENTS :
1°) On the CANTARX3 :
- Download and install a Cantaress compatble CantarX3 frmware version.
As of today, the latest version is Version 2.50.C1
New features Version 2.50.C1
- First version compatble with the C1 version of the Cantaress
- The batery status available for Aaton genuine batery (press F1 in stop positon).
- Talk to Headphones: From Technical Menu, choose whether to send or not the Talk Back feed into
the headset when the TalkBack is actvated
- Reset Factory : A dialog asks if the user wants to save a backup of the setngs before resetng
- Beep Routng : Beeps (Start & Stop) can now be deactvated in the Headphones (error & alert beeps
remain actve)
- '_' character is available for scene fled
- The jog is speed up in the edit feld
- iXML modifcaton to improve compatbility with On-Set Dailies sofware
Bug Fixes
- The completon dialog box was not accessible in some cases
- In playback and record, the tmecode in clone mode have been improved
- While Ingrid was displayed, in PPR or Test positons, Solo Buton 3 of the old Cantarem I was not working.
- Inside Cantar, poly fles of more than 12 tracks could not be read, the poly fle integrity was not afected.
- In some specifc situaton, BWF rif size could be wrong on polyphonic favors but the audio integrity was
not afected.
- The MS metadata informaton can be wrong in some situaton once again, the audio integrity was not
afected.
2°) CANTARESS:
As of today, the latest Cantaress frmware version is V 1.20.C1
II°) STARTING
- Power source for the Cantaress : minimum 12V, 2A through the XLR-4 located at the rear of the machine.
- Connect the CantarX3 to the Cantaress using a RJ-45 cable: from the "Ethernet " labelled RJ-45 socket on
the CantarX3 to the RJ-45 socket of the Cantaress.
NB : it is possible to link both machines through a router.
