I cannot turn the battery compartment around to the change the battery on the Smartfallblue pendant. . It looks like it has seized after a year of use. what do I do? How do I open compartment to change battery. Any suggestions?

To open the battery compartment on the Smartlink Smartfall Blue pendant:

1. Turn the battery cover anti-clockwise to the unlocked position.
2. Remove the old battery.
3. Insert a new CR2430 battery with the Positive (+) side facing downwards in the lid.
4. Replace the battery cover and turn it clockwise to lock it.

    Cleaning If required, the Smartfall may be cleaned periodically with a damp cloth and mild detergent or an alcohol wipe.  Remember that the Smartfall will not detect falls while it is not being worn therefore you should put the Smartfall back on again as soon as you have finished cleaning it.

    Battery replacement The battery will need replacing approximately every 12 to 24 months. When a low battery is indicated the  battery should be replaced immediately/as soon as possible. If it is necessary for you to change the  battery, the fall detector uses a CR2430 3 Volt lithium battery.

The Smartfall has also been designed to avoid activation when you have not fallen.
