Application
The actuator can be installed on all HERZ-TRVs with M28x1,5.
Function
This energy saving controller for radiators can be used to control room temperature an the basis of time. The actuator moves
a valve, thereby allowing the amount of heat flowing to the heating appliance to be controlled.
The controller is compatoble with the most HERZ TRVs. The large illuminated display ensures user-friendly operation. A wire-
less receiver allows the device to receive commands from taught-in system components.

  • Page 1 The controller is compatoble with the most HERZ TRVs. The large illuminated display ensures user-friendly operation. A wire- less receiver allows the device to receive commands from taught-in system components.
  • Page 2: Installation

Once programming is complete, “InS” will reappear on the display and installation (Step 3) can commence. Step 3: Installing the energy-saving controller The actuator can be installed on all HERZ TRVs. There is no need to drain away water or fiddle around with the heating system before doing this.
  • Page 3 HERZ ETKF Setting the weekly program The weekly program allows you to set up to 3 separate heating periods (7 switching times) for each day of the week. Pro- gramming is performed in relation to the selected days, for which temperatures must be stored for a period from 00:00 to 23:59.

HERZ ETKF Inserting (replacing) batteries The remote control runs on two LR44 batteries. • Remove the battery compartment cover. • Insert two new LR44 batteries in the battery compartment (making sure that you insert them the right way round). •...
  • Page 8 HERZ ETKF Radio shutter (window) contact 1 8250 03 Intended use This window contact is used to detect when a window is opened. If the window contact is taught-in to a radio energy- saving controller (see 6), these devices will automatically reduce the temperature in the room during ventilation. Using the automa- tic temperature reduction function whilst windows are open enables heating costs to be lowered.
