CARING FOR THE FILTERS

The grease filters should be removed and cleaned often, at least once a month.
NOTE: If your microwave hood combination is installed to recirculate air, the charcoal filter
(Part No. 530W1A0003A) is available from Sears by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
Grease filters (Part No. 2B72705B):
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. To remove grease filters, slide each filter to the side.
Pull filters downward and push to the other side.
The filter will drop out.
3. Soak grease filters in hot water and a mild
detergent. Scrub and swish to remove embedded
dirt and grease. Rinse well and shake to dry. Do
not clean filters with ammonia or corrosive cleaning
agents such as lye-based oven cleaners, or place
them in a dishwasher. The filters will turn black or
could be damaged.
4. To replace grease filters, slide filter in the frame slot
on one side of the opening. Push filter upward and
push to the other side to lock into place.
5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
